Live8 from AOL 2005 Audio Rip 83 Tunes

It took forever, but I captured the audio from a shitload of Live8 videos that were streamed from AOL's website shortly after 2005's Live8 worlwide concert. I doubt I could have the patience to sit and do this kind of thing again. 83 Rips...man it was tedious but enjoyable. Nice thing about this is no interruptions like what was broadcast, and no censored F bombs...Sound quality is quite good.

analogkid,
Lousy bit rate, but that was way back when disk storage was expensive. Nothing I can do about it now.

Ijust now refound this one (did not bookmark it) and when I refound, I reread and uh oh. Then was when I noticed the bit rate. I appreciate the reup and I will be more observant. Myself I can listen to pretty much whatever but when I share I like to go 192k at very least.
I did not even use computers until 2010. So I had no idea. Storage has become cheaper since than. Last Black Friday I got 3 Terra's for 40 USD. That will hold me for awhile... Maybe..
Flac has got so popular anymore. It fills space quick, makes terra's feel small. Every Black Friday I buy more space and the next one I will get even more. I did down load them and am searching for more stuff. Some of the DVD's you have would be pretty awesome ripped to 320k.
Its time to stop writing or it would be a book. Thankx for all your work.

All true..but if you listen in a car or background music, it sounds pretty good actually. Windows claimed WMA CD quality for 64kps back then.

What This Is All About

I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.

I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.

I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........

Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.

Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!

If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

I have reconsidered my position...and will re-upload dead links, so long as you go to that particular post and make the request from the comments page...
