The Daily Feed “A Capital Decade” or a “A Capital Decayed”

Jim once again has found more buried treasure! Ultra rare for sure! Politically incorrect for sure!

Camarillo,
Here’s another element of the HFS experience.  The Daily Feed.  Frank, Max, and Peter Markham satirize the political news of the day in this compilation titled “A Capital Decade” or a “A Capital Decayed” as it is typed on Side B.  Coming up next,  another totally unslanted opinion from yet another editor of the Daily Feed…

WHFS 102.3 MILO OCTOBER 30 1981, Shared by Jim

My new main man Jim has sent us yet another fine tape of 'HFS tunes from October of 1981...below is the text from his email:

Camarillo,

Here’s a short tape that I missed when I shared two David in October 81 tapes last month. It’s just over 60 minutes from Friday, October 30, 1981, hosted by Milo.  The music moves from then current New Wave acts back a few years to the Punk scene from the late 70’s.

Side A: Martha and the Muffins, The Stranglers, Psychedelic Furs, The Cure, The Police, Bebop Deluxe, Tom Robinson Band

Side B: Soft Cell, Thomas Leer, Lene Lovich, The Young Professionals, Dead Kennedys, The Buzzcocks, ?, Sparks

I also found this in the archives where I wrote down the WHFS lineup in August 1981:

Jim, all good stuff! Thanks as always for sharing!

WHFS 12-23-1983 Weasel Xmas Show No. 1

I posted a Weasel Christmas show a while back. That is apparently part 2. This is part one. So that makes 6 hours of Christmas music for all of you that like that sorta thing.
This is the last tape from the last batch of 14 that Robbie sent in to share. It's been fun and what a great listen! Robbie's Takoma Park buddy really did a nice job taping these!

WHFS Multiple Post from?

It's a little embarrassing that I deleted the email from the guy that mailed these WHFS shows to me.
Hopefully he will contact me again so I can thank him. And the two bags of gummy candy he sent along with the DVDs. They came from overseas that's all I know.
I haven't listened to them yet, just want to get them out there.

Jim

Side B- January ’83 --  …the Clash, REM, X, Shakin’ Pyramids, Gun Club, Soft Boys, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, Grauzone (?), Lene Lovich, ESG, The Suburbs, and the Joy Division.

Can't thank Jim enough for sharing his old WHFS tapes...what a treat!!!!

What This Is All About

I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.

I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.

I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........

Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.

Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!

If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

I have reconsidered my position...and will re-upload dead links, so long as you go to that particular post and make the request from the comments page...
