Just got my USB cassette deck and broke out my WHFS tapes from the early 80s and am starting to load them on my computer. If interested, I'll document what I have, dates, dj's, songs, etc. and post them. I don't have an uploader yet but if someone provides info on doing that, I will. I hope I can determine dates because I did not doc. that on the tapes.

Thanks for your work WV, great!

Just unzipped the file and all I can say is AWESOME! Thanks again, can't wait to dig through all mine and start listening and archiving.

naples,
We all would interested in those tapes you have regardless of weather you know the dates or whatever. Several site out there are available for uploading. megaupload.com and rapidshare.com are what I use just because they seem to be the most popular. Rapidshare's limit is 100MB and Megaupload is 1GB with premium account. If you choose to upload and share and want me to post them, send me an e-mail at kayaker729 at yahoo dot com with the links and I will post for you!

Thanks, VanFan

Starting to upload already, but the converting is taking forever. You can link to my blog here:
http://naplesgc.blogspot.com/ I'm loading these on my computer as fast as I can, but then the upload is long and the conversion is longer. I'm sorry for ripping at 320kb for those that can't download large files. I'm doing this for achival reasons and want the best quality.

What This Is All About

I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.

I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.

I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........

Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.

Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!

If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

I have reconsidered my position...and will re-upload dead links, so long as you go to that particular post and make the request from the comments page...
