What This Is All About
I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.
I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.
I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........
Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.
Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!
If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

Thanks! Bob Their and Brillio de Camerillo
nice twist
heck, I'm still listening to Cerphe's show. Now, I'm going to have to live longer than I had originally planned. Thanks and long live HFS.
enjoy!
Got to listen to a few of these tapes this afternoon. If anyone is looking for the "Friday at 5pm" songs that Weasel would play (such as Dave Edmunds' Here Comes The Weekend etc.) they are on a few of these tapes. This is worth a download for the Friday song medley and also for some Christmas Eve shows that are priceless.Thx again, VanFan
Megaupload is claiming that the second link is not available. What gives?

try it again. worked for me. Sometimes shit happens
VanFan,
thanks for the info
WVKayaker, first of all, thank you and everyone who has these vintage HFS recordings for sharing them.
Someone should archive every bit of vintage (1970-1990) HFS that still survives and index it (chronologically?) and ensure its survival and accessability. MegaUpload is OK for casual file transfer but there are better ways... and there's always the concern over copyright complaints.
The internet is written in ink, and properly done any piece of data never goes away.
And this should be the fate of WHFS. As a monument to Jake and the crew that made HFS what it was, it all needs to be collected and posted in such a way that nobody can ever make it go away.
Check your email in the next few days.
