Some Of My Ticket Stubs

During the "Blizzard of 2010" I scanned the ticket stubs I saved from a bunch of concerts and some sporting events. Another trip down memory lane

I'm only jealous of the Marty Jones and hubby Don Dixon concert. Warren Zanes? Just looked him up. Del Fuegoes were super. Dan Zanes played at my child's day care singing kid's songs. I wanted him to break loose with "The Longest Day'' Good ticket collection.

I saw Warren Zanes back up someone at Ramshead...didn't know who he was until he revealed he was with The del Fuegos. He put on a nice show, so when he headlined a few months later, we went to that as well...

Hey, that's Harry Truman's birthday...Now if I can only convince them to come to Chicago...
Wasn't the Unsophisticated Time'' album by Marti Jones simply magical?
thanks

Aahhhhhh. $7 concerts...those were the days. It's funny now to think that I thought things were getting out of hand when I had to start paying $10 in the very early 80's. I was outraged! TEN DOLLARS FOR A CONCERT???!!!

Hey! That 1975 Aerosmith concert was my first "real" concert! And I heard Henry Rollins mention somewhere that it was his first as well. Slade and REO Speedwagon opened.

Thanks for the cool info U.J.!
It's been a long time trying to remeber who the 3rd band was! What a kick ass concert!

Good gawd! MPP Lawn Seats...the Cap Centre when it WAS the Cap Centre.

My misspent youth coming back to haunt me through your ticket stubs.

Bayou where I spilled a full beer on Chrissy Hynde or the great Don & Marty shows at the 9:30 club in D.C.

Ahh memories.

Oh yeah, and J. Geils the night before my SAT test. Oh yes, there was alcohol involved!

Stubs bring back memories! Thanks.

Hi, I'm Rusty Banks, Content Director of Stubstory.com and I found your post today. I was curious about the possibly of integrating some of your ticket stubs and the stories behind them into what we are doing.

Would you take a look at www.stubstory.com and see if you'd care to share some stories?

When you have a second - can you shoot me an email to talk about whether you have an interest in having your stories appear on Stubstory.

I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks

Rusty Banks

What This Is All About

I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.

I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.

I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........

Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.

Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!

If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

I have reconsidered my position...and will re-upload dead links, so long as you go to that particular post and make the request from the comments page...
