The Last 4.5 Hours Of WHFS 102.3 Bethesda, MD

I already posted my open reel tapes of the last hours of WHFS. These are from Dave B's collection. There might be some stuff earlier than what I have. You get 3 90 minute tapes with lot's of bone chilling madness stuff on here to make you cringe. But hey it's almost 3 decades now...get over it! (-: J.K.
Anyway, this is the last of the tapes from Dave. It took me since I think October to get them all posted on here.
Thanks Dave for your patience!

Still one of the saddest days of our lives. OK, not war nor assassination but what a great era of time. And I was glad I was alive to hear it all.
thanks

CB -- Many Thanks for all of your hard work. This has been great to see all of these tapes put out there for all to enjoy. I just hope that everyone really appreciates the hard work you do (it is pain-staking, and a pain in the ass to do), so I for one really appreciate your efforts.

THANKS again for all you have done. And Thanks to all who have piped up and added their comments... What a great feeling having others appreciate this great music.

Well done!!! (Dave B)

Dave, The thanks really goes to you for the taping, then sharing them years later...even tho only a handful leave any feedback, lots of them have been downloaded...some over 35 times..so they are out there...

And Bill...I know it's been two years, but I will finally start checking out the 2 packs of tapes you sent me....stay tuned!

What This Is All About

I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.

I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.

I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........

Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.

Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!

If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

I have reconsidered my position...and will re-upload dead links, so long as you go to that particular post and make the request from the comments page...
