Hadn't heard that Brian Briggs tune in a while.

BRIAN BRIGGS SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE LYRICS

Frankie was a modder, the King of Merton Park,
in his triple sole, brown suede floaters,
he could run fast in the dark.
Big Moe stepped on his toe
so to get Moe off his back,
he played hooky,
to play chicken,
down on the railroad tracks.

Goodbye Frankie
So long.
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Frankie and Moe rode their scooters to the corner of Camley and Rue,
they waited at the end of the tunnel for the 309 to come through.

Frankie smiled and spit on the ground
the 309 was on time,
He knew Moe would never have the guts
to be the last one over the line.

Goodbye Frankie
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Goodbye Frankie
(so long)
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Frankie waited far too long
you could see in his face this was it,
Frankie knew he'd never beat that train
and he didn't give a shit.

(scooter sounds)

Goodbye Frankie
so long mate.
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Goodbye Frankie
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Goodbye Frankie
(so long)
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Goodbye Frankie
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

Goodbye Frankie
(so long)
Goodbye Frankie,
I'll see you on the other side.

thanks rainy day; Robbie, Jim and HFS. It's a gorgeous day in Chicago where I walked listening to random. Mark's show came on; he was a bit obnoxious....

No problem - this is my own vinyl rip from a pristine LP I bought from someone in Spain via Ebay. A friend in college turned me on to BB when it came out and I had been searching ever since.

I am still perfecting my A to D conversion and if I ever come up with a better sounding version, I will let you know.

Thanks for all the great WHFS stuff!

madjono,
cool to hear your comments and your enjoying the commercials...It is interesting how things change over time. Doubt I'll ever get around to posting a compilation of commercials. Feel free to download all these radio tapes and make one your self tho...Thanks again for the feedback!

Back in the day, I listened to Weasel in the D.C. area. Friday afternoons I loved hearing a couple songs that really revved up end-of-work week. One was called "Thank God It's Friday". But I can't find it on YouTube. Can you tell me the song title and artist? There were at least two songs played back-to-back at around 5:00 PM on Friday's.

Sorry, but I sadly compressed most of my old WHFS files to save disk space. Still sounds great.

What This Is All About

I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.

I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.

I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........

Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.

Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!

If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

I have reconsidered my position...and will re-upload dead links, so long as you go to that particular post and make the request from the comments page...
