Dramarama LIVE! MAX'S ON BROADWAY October 10 1990

This awesome show of Dramarama from Max's on Broadway, Fells Point, Baltimore, MD, was broadcast on WHFS 99.1 Annapolis, MD, on Nov 21 1990. Recorded by WHFS on D.A.T.

Taped by me on a TDK SA76 Cassette Tape Dolby C using my Pioneer CT-F1000 3 head tape deck.

This is a great show by a band that pretty much went nowhere, but IMHO are one the coolest bands of the late 80's, early 90's. You may remember a semi hit "Last Cigarette".
01 - Does She Talk About Me
02 - No Regrets

07 - Til The Next Time
08 - WonderRama

Nice Post this sounds really great Dramarama had some great songs but didn't ever totally pull it together. I regret never seeing them live, this show sounds great.

eric,
Keep an eye out for John Easdale...the brains behind Dramarama. We recently caught him at the Ramshead in Annapolis, MD. Basically was a Dramarama show. One of the best shows I've seen recently...

Thanks for stopping by eric...

I will have to try to catch Easdale next time he comes through the area. I live close to the Rams Head, but I have never attended a show there.
My wife and I walked past Max's on Broadway today, it made me laugh, thinking a band I liked once played there.
Thanks again for the great music you have posted, and your comments about the shows.

Jim,

Thanks for the "Drama". Max's on Broadway back in the day. It's been a little while but I think the last time I was there - no more live music. Drag.

Allow me to correct the setlist since several of the titles are wrong.

01 - Questions?
02 - No Regrets
03 - Scenario
04 - In Quiet Rooms
05 - Haven't Got A Clue
06 - 70's TV
07 - Until The Next Time
On the Streets
08 - Wonderamaland
09 - 7 Minutes (More or Less)
10 - Tiny Candles
11 - Lullabye
12 - Would You Like
13 - Ain't It The Truth
14 - Last Cigarette
15 - WHFS 99.1 Station I.D.
16 - Some Crazy Dame
17 - (I'll Give You) Anything, Anything

And Eric, you don't have to regret not seeing them live, because THEY STILL PLAY LIVE. And they sound better than ever. I don't understand why so many fans from back in the day aren't aware of this. Please, I implore you, join the Yahoo! Groups list. See here to join in the fun:

The new link is not working anymore.
Do you know how I could retrieve this bootleg ? (I'm getting crazy thinking that my favorite band exists on a recorded live performance :-) )

What This Is All About

I've been collecting live music from various sources since the mid to late 70's. Radio shows, TV broadcasts, radio show pre-FM CD's and vinyl LP's and some trades. Most of the shows posted here, I recorded and ripped myself. I always had top of the line stereo equipment and cassette and open reel recorders for those on air broadcasts.

I've downloaded plenty of bootlegged concerts from various blogs. As a rule I will only post stuff from my collection and not what is already available out there.

I also post out of print CDs and LPs from my collection.
I will repost from my readers anything someone sends me as long as it is either out of print or something that's not from someone else's blog. If you want to share a link for a cool item on your blog, or someone else's, please feel free to post it in the comments........

Enjoy and please leave a comment and pass this blog along.

Can you believe that so many out there are starving for the old WHFS? Amazing!

If you leave a comment, how about using a nickname instead of Anonymous. At least make up something please. Thanks!

I have reconsidered my position...and will re-upload dead links, so long as you go to that particular post and make the request from the comments page...
