Robert Showacre, AKA Bob Here Passes On September 5, 2013

I didn't know that Bob Here had passed a couple of weeks ago. An anonymous reader sent me a message letting me know. All of us 'HFS fans I'm sure, are saddened by the news. It goes without saying, he was one of the best DJ's the station had to offer and also later on WRNR...Our thoughts are with his friends and family.

Here is a repost of a bunch of Bob Here tapes of 102.3FM from the eighties...RIP Bob!

These were all shared by "Bob"...MP3@160, 90 minutes cassettes

  1. Been thinking of Bob "Here" over the holidays. Hearing his voice on the 1986 Christmas Eve show sure brought back lots of memories for me.

  2. I just found these tonight. I was able to grab the first one, but the others had expired. If you have a chance to upload them again, I'll be very grateful. Thanks, John

  4. This is a tremendously valuable collection. It concentrates on one artist -- announcer "Bob Here" -- and shows his evolution with WHFS and vice versa. I'm in the second tape of the 41-tape set, and it will keep me busy for a while. Thanks for the re-post!

  7. I'll upload them, but I gotta make sure you will download them.
Too many requests to re-up a link, then they don't follow up and the link expires.

  9. Thanks so much for the links. Does anyone know the instrumental tune that Bob played to open his show? I seem to remember him saying it was a Hawaiian Steel Pedal Guitar.

  11. Hi -- Just wanted to say, "Thanks" for the Bob Here mp3s. I'm sure you know this already but WTMD is currently (early/mid 2020) running a Weasel's Wild Weekend marathon on their second channel HD2. Twelve hours of Weasel every day! Imagine. He did a tribute to Bob Here on this show and it was wonderful. Thanks again. Kevin
