Jim shares yet another 'HFS tape. Friday, March 27, 1981

Camarillo,

Here’s my oldest ‘HFS tape so far.  It starts on Friday, March 27, 1981 and finishes up few days after that since there’s a duplicate song; and you would NEVER hear the same song twice on ‘HFS in the same day never mind within the same hour.

Side 1: The Boomtown Rats, The DB’s, Ultravox, Echo and the Bunnymen, Urban Verbs, Graham Parker (twice), The Police and The Stranglers(?).  I believe this was from Milo’s show but I didn’t keep the back announcing.

Side 2: This definitely starts with Milo, likely a day or so later: Martha and the Muffins, The Vapors, Graham Parker (“Don’t Get Excited”- a repeat from Side 1), New Order.
Switching over to David, probably a few days later: The Fleshtones, ?, The Monks, John Cale (“Strange Times in Casablanca”—what a dark song), Talking Heads, and The Pretenders.

Enjoy it.  I’ve only got a few more of these 102.3 tapes left to share.

  3. Finally got a chance to hear these tapes...sweet! the quality as always is outstanding. Milo plays his typical type of tuneage that made me a fan to begin with. Very enjoyable! Thank you again Jim!
