many many thanks sir!
ReplyDeleteI 1st met John in the 'gtb studio in the fall of '77 -
he was getting ready to play The hot import of 'Before and After Science'
by Eno o/c, and I had brought with me the new private rls of 'Are We Not Men' (we are devo)
it was quite the conundrum that sunday night...
Mr. Paige became a fan of the boys from ohio that night...
thanks again Sir, I also supplied Chris Thompson with some obscure rock-a-billy and Ralph Records stuff...
those were the days...
Another highlight was walking down the stairs outside of the Childe Harold after watching the Ramones 1st DC gig,
may 20-30 folks there, and having Cerphe from HFS thrust a mic in my face asking about the future of punk rock,
true hilarity!
thanks again Sir -
