You and I have pretty similar backgrounds, I,too, really miss the old HFS -- I started listening to it in 1969 and kept up until the end. Even helped engineer a few of the live concerts from the Cellar Door - Fatboy Slim was one of them.

This was one of my father's favorite neo-swing bands and treasured his vinyl copy. I grew up hearing it and was a big fan of the song "boogie in the barnyard." I had "tulip or turnip" in my head for some reason today and after searching for the name of the song, I realised I had no idea who sang the version I knew the best.... a search on AMG points to this record. Downloading now to verify, but I'm pretty sure it's the WDO version that I have in my head. I'm excited to have it and revel in the nostalgia of it.

WOW....you truly do only publish that which is NOT on other sites. I watched "waitress! '1982" heard tulip or turnip in the background and HAD to find info on this amazing voice and talented band! getting a chance to see who wrote the songs, who played what part as well as the album cover...your blog is a godsend! thank you so much. I have found a copy of the LP for myself (it was a must for my collection have after your help). keep up the good work. Dont stop groovin!
