This is a vinyl rip of my Buddy Wizz's Black Sabbath Vinyl Bootleg "Gr'ndlepole". I recorded this a couple of years ago from his LP and there is virtually no information on it. The weird title means nothing to me, and I could find nothing on the web for it's meaning. It is from the early 70's and the sound is raw and excellent condsidering the era.
1. Home In The Sky
2. Snowblind
3. Killing Yourself To Live
4. War Pigs
5. Children Of The Grave
13.4MB, 30 Minutes, WMA 9.1 64kbps

Thanks for the Sabbath!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf only I could figure out the bootleg's album title...
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking...
awesome, thanks
ReplyDeleteyou're welcome!
ReplyDeleteIf you look on the sabbath site, this is just another name for the same show, which is the California Jam or "Cannibus Confusion". there are actually 5-6 different names for this same boot
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info A
ReplyDeletethanks for the feedback on my blog. this is actually a fragment of the asbury park NJ 1975 show. great post, thanks!
ReplyDelete"Are you high?"
ReplyDelete"ARE YOU HIGH?!"
"So am I"
Ozzy high?
ReplyDeleteWhen was he straight!
This is actually 5 songs from the Asbury Park 1975 show plus ONE song (the second "Killing Yourself To Live") from the "Cannabis confusion / California Jam" show.
ReplyDeleteThe "Killing Yourself" from CalJam is the one where Ozzy says something about "I've never seen so many people in my life".
This was the first ever Sabs boot I bought back in 1975 and every since then, the meaning (if there ever WAS one) of the title has bugged the crap outta me LOL someone PLEASE put me out of my misery and find out what it means or why it came to be titled so.... ;)
This version is slightly different from the mixes on the Asbury Park show.. the main difference is that on the Asbury Park show, the inbetween song guitar/bass tunings are mixed way down so you can only just hear them.... but on Gr'ndlepol (there is no "e" at the end) they are left in the mix.
Same with the siren in "War Pigs" - the siren is clearly audible on "Gr'ndlepol" but is completely removed from the Asbury Park mix
The Asbury Park mix is "cleaner", while "Gr'ndlepol"'s sound is harsher (but has the kickass air raid siren in War Pigs)
C'mon somone... find out what the album title means / why it was titled so... it's been bugging me for 34 years LOL (Yeh, I KNOW.. I have no life LOL) I've searched all over the internet for years, and no answers.
Thanks for the cool info! It is appreciated!
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day we'll figure it out!
Thank You Thank You!!!
ReplyDeletejust a note. track #1 is "Hole" in the sky... (not home)
