  1. Man, got to thank you a million... really great collection of singles and rare sides. We have to respect the guts from Louris... listenin' this sides, i have to pay my respect to Louris...even without that old masters's voice and soul by Olson, the guy tried to the last gasp to save the Band.... we can hear this vividly on this sides... It's a sad and a happy stoy at the same time, because in the end what they left was among the best popular music. Music for the ages. Sorry for the extended comment. Really touched.

  2. Couldn't of said it better! I love these guys! And I miss Mark Olson but Gary kept the torch lit. Great band that went nowhere...Seems a shame but no surprises these days with great bands only having a cult following. Enjoy and thanks for stop by and making a comment...

  3. I have already downloaded your Lone Justice and Maria Mac Kee material, and while I wait Rapidshare to refresh and proceed with the Jayhawks stuff, I wanted to say THAN YOU. These are great original material. Your blog is splendid and I assume I'm gonna spend a lot of time surfing in it and enjoying your wonderful taste. Thanks again from Lima, Peru.

  11. kanablur respectuflly asks if you could re-post these links, as they are no longer found at rapidshare.

First saw the Jayhawks in 1991 in Ventura, CA opening for Matthew Sweet. Instant fan for both!

Everybody says it's a shame that the 'Hawks didn't fare better, success wise; I'm sure they know their fans truly appreciate their music (at least, I sure hope they know...)

    PS...got any Matthew Sweet material?
